Chatroom Rules.

1. No PROFANITY!

Please keep it clean, as we have some very young deviants(some as young as 11.) on site. Also, no racism, arguments about religion or or sexual langauge is allowed. After all, wee don't want to be the ones who exploit their minds to this.

2. Don't annoy/harrass others.

Please, don't be annoy others. Poetrycafe staff reserve the right to kick or possibly ban anyone involved in heated arguments and discussion. Also, No insulting or harrassment allowed; if you cannot control your opinions, behavior, and/or temper, we will kick and/or ban you.

3. No A/S/L.

Don't ask for "A/S/L" checks or any other type. You only do that if your on some dating site, and last time I checked, we were an art site.

4. Limit your thumbs!

No, I don't mean cut off one of your thumbs.

We allow the posting of thumbs deviations. PLease, do not post your thumbs repeatdly. You may post 5 thumbs every 7 minutes. Do not constantly beg for everyone to critique comment your thumbs. Doing so will result in a kick and/or ban.

To display your deviations as thumbs: Go to one of your deviations, and in the URL, you'll see some numbers. Type those numbers like this: EX Poetrycafe's Faq: [link] Type :thumb 2351025: (no spaces)

DO NOT POST THUMBS CONTAINING THIS TYPE OF SUBJECTS:

Do not post thumbnails or links which contain:

Links to websites with racist/sexual/hateful content.

Pornographic or nude deviations as defined by deviantART's Submission Agreement (deviations marked as mature and deviations in the artistic nude category excluded; however, pornographic images uploaded as deviations are not).

Links to add or (example: my. deviantart.com/deviants/add/poetrycafe or www. deviantart.com/favorite/#######/)

5. Speak English!

Please refrain from speaking in languages other than english and spanish. This only to protect the people in the room, since if you start making threats in another language, we can't tell.

6. Do not ask for ops!

Only Staff members of Poetrycafe can be operators! Do not beg to be, you won't get it.

7. No Spam!

Do not spam. Do not post an excessive amount of emoticons in one line, or repeatedly post emoticons line after line. "Emote spamming" slows down the room considerably.

Avoid excessive shouting (use of all-caps), excessive word streeeeeeeetching or flooding (continuous posting of repetitive text) in
#thumbshare. Flooding is defined as any rapid or high-volume posting. This includes but is not limited to thumbnails, or text.

8. No advertising!

Do not use #Poetcafe to advertise your chatroom, community or website without the permission of the Founder.

9. Take Care of Yourselves!

We caution you against giving out personal identifiable information (such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, names and addresses, telephone numbers and driver license numbers) to strangers online, as this information may be used for illegal or harmful purposes.
