How do I join Mocha’s Poetry Café?

Joining is easy! First add Poetry Café on your Devwatch, then send a note to Poetry Café expressing your desire to join. Someone on the Poetry Café staff will reply, welcoming you to the club.

Do I HAVE to put the Poetry Café icon in my signature file?

While putting the icon in your sig file isn’t mandatory, we believe it helps create solidarity and community and will promote the club to other deviant artists. Also, you may put it in your journal too if you'd like.

How do I put the Poetry Café icon in my signature file/journal?

From your main page, click Settings. Scroll down to the Signature box and type : devpoetrycafe : (no spaces). Then click Save Settings. You do not have to do this, but we DO require you to put our icon in your journal. To do that, type, :icon poetrycafe: (no spaces.)
Note: As you know, DA can be slow to refresh.  If the icon doesn’t show right away, try using your browsers refresh button a few times. It should eventually show up.

Why should I Devwatch Poetry Café?

By putting Poetry Café on your Devwatch you will be notified of contests and other important announcements we make via prose submissionsand journal entries. If you don't read the club entries, you'll miss out!

How do I send a deviation link?

When submitting a link to your deviation, you should send it via a note to Poetry Café. Send it as a private note, not one that goes to the front page. If you send it to the front page, it will be ignored. To send the link in a note, simply open your deviation and cut and paste the URL(internet address) at the top of your browser right into your note.

What are the rules of the workshop?

If you want to submit a piece of poetry to the workshop, it will remain "en queue" until you have given feedback to at least 2 other pieces in the shop.
In other words - you must Give feedback to Receive feedback.  After you have given your feedback THEN your piece will be added (yes, we're watching). Why?? Because experience has shown that the majority of people will request feedback and not give any in return.

How do I submit musical guests?

If you are in a band, or know someone that IS in a band that has their music in mp3 or wma format, let us  know.  Once a week (if we have submissions) we will feature a song from anyone who submits one.  Please keep in mind that the song should be of somewhat good taste.  If you are interested, send Poetry Cafe a note declaring interest in submitting a song.  Upon approval, you can send us a URL to where the song can be played from via a note.
